Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation (INC)
DDRO participates in an organization, the Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation (I-NC), which consists of all the registered neighborhood organization in the City and County of Denver.
The basis for I-NC is a belief that neighborhood organizations deserve a greater role in participating in city government, as well as a shared vision that neighborhoods are stronger when they work together and learn from one another.
What Does I-NC Do?
- Hold monthly meetings to discuss common issues and concerns
- Organize committees for special issues such as transportation, education, zoning, and public safety
- Sponsor forums for ballot issues, candidates, and city-wide topics
- Run the Dollar Dictionary Drive to annually provide a dictionary for every Denver Public School 3rd grader
- Create links to city government and schools by holding meetings with city agencies and placing members on boards and task forces
- Impact decisions made by governmental entities that affect neighborhoods
